April 2006 saw a major change for Lossie Seafoods as we entered into a partnership with
Nolans,
Ireland's largest smoked salmon producer.

At our premises the salmon are filleted and cured using dry salt in the traditional manner.
Our PRIDE of SCOTLAND brand is then smoked slowly and carefully over oakwood chips from
Speyside's most distinguished distiller of single malt whisky, 'The Macallan'.

We are now the producers of ORKNEY SEAFOODS brand of Smoked Scottish Island Salmon.
These fish are prepared in a similar manner but smoked over beechwood chips instead.
This brand comes to the marketplace connected with a legendary whisky, "Highland Park".
Some product lines are marinated in this fabulous Orkadian nectar.

Lossie Seafoods operates from a modern factory custom built in 1988. In August 1993
the factory underwent a considerable upgrade to meet the hygiene requirements of the
E.E.C. and to meet the strictures being increasingly put upon us by our customer base.
For many years previously Lossie Seafoods Ltd processed white fish and smoked wild salmon
from the local rivers and over a period of time an expertise was built up in the handling
of salmon. Latterly with the advent of farmed salmon a ready supply of raw material came
about and the emphasis of the company changed from being a white fish operation to a dedicated
salmon smoking operation.

Over the past 6 years our smoked salmon business has grown and as the bulk of our product
is exported our market places are far and wide. Lossie Seafoods Ltd exports in the region
of 80% of its production to destinations in Europe including Switzerland, Italy, The Netherlands,
France, Germany, Denmark, Austria and Greece, and further afield to The United States, Mexico,
Hong Kong, Bahrain, U.A.E, and Jordan.

Lossie Seafoods Ltd's core business is its finest Scottish oak smoked salmon which is available
in whole sides, sliced sides and retail packs. In addition to this we produce a Gravadlax, also
available in whole sides, sliced sides and retail packs.
